WHAT'S ON DISK

The SG system disk is a floppy sized FreeBSD built with the wonderful PicoBSD toolkit from Andrzej Bialecki.

It contains

• 3.1 release kernel
• 3 virtual consoles, vt100/xterm support for network terminal
• Ethernet interface support for ed, fxp, de and fxp
• PPP, IP firewall and NAT support
• daemons: inetd, syslogd, telnetd, thttpd
• networking tools: ifconfig, route, ping, traceroute, netstat
• remote access tools: telnet, ftp
• OS tools: dmesg, vmstat, mount, umount, ps, kill, killall, reboot
• shell tools: sh, cat, more, cp, rm, df, chown, chgrp, mkdir, w, date, sleep
• simple editor 'ee'
• SG Cluster related programs: bidd, natd, mrouted, sgmon, sgctrld, sgcmd, sghb

WWW stuff and most executables are located in /stand

When System boots up, all stuffs are copies to a ram disk and executed from ramdisk directly. If any change is made on /etc, please be sure to execute 'update' to flush the modification back to the floppy disk.
